Shahinur, a young entrepreneur from Habiganj, Bangladesh has come a long way since he started his poultry farming business over a decade ago. He was the sole provider for his large joint family, consisting of his mother, two sisters, one brother, and his wife Shimu and their two children. Poverty had prevented him from continuing his education but Shahinur was determined to make a better life for his family.
With an entrepreneurial spirit, Shahinur embarked on a poultry farming journey. Through hard work and dedication, he expanded his business over the years and gained a reputation for his sincerity and success. But things were not always easy for Shahinur. The COVID-19 pandemic and a massive flood caused him to make no profit in 2020 and 2021. However, he managed to overcome these setbacks. Shahinur established himself as a trusted and reliable entrepreneur. Now, Shahinur's poultry business is thriving, earning him 33% more profit than the previous year.

At first, Shahinur was reluctant to use modern technology. However, now he is eager to learn about new labor and time-saving technologies and to try out innovative strategies to grow his business.
Shahinur has built strong relationships with the private sector. Dealers supply him with poultry feed, pellets, and vaccines on credit. The weather has a significant effect on poultry farming with disease outbreaks due to extreme heat and cold. Due to his connections, he is able to vaccinate his poultry three times a year.
