Announcing iDE Field Connection: Nepal 2026
Travel with iDE to connect with entrepreneurs and see impact in action.
This October, iDE will travel to Kathmandu, and we invite you to participate in a unique opportunity to meet the entrepreneurs transforming their livelihoods and strengthening their communities. Guided by the iDE Nepal team, you will visit farming families adopting climate-smart innovations to increase productivity and resilience, and connect with local leaders expanding access to water solutions, resilient technologies, and markets through community business hubs. Along the way, you will experience Nepal’s extraordinary landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Join us to witness the impact of your support firsthand—and return home inspired by an unforgettable experience.
Six Day Trip Itinerary: October 25 - 30, 2026
- October 25: Arrival in Kathmandu; rest and free time
- October 26: Kathmandu — (Start of official activities) Visit iDE offices and Welcome Dinner
- October 27: Pokhara — Travel to Pokhara, visit climate resilient farms and meet with Farm Business Advisors
- October 28: Pokhara — Visit community led commercial pockets connecting community members to key technologies and resources.
- October 29: Pokhara — Visit vermicomposting plots; return to Kathmandu for Closing Dinner (End of official activities)
- October 30: Kathmandu — Departure

Cost per person: $3,500

Fundraising Goal: $2,000
We ask that Field Connection attendees set a goal to raise or donate $2,000 by the end of 2026 to support the entrepreneurs that they will meet in person. iDE will provide resources, including outreach templates, to support these critical fundraising efforts.
The Registration process:
Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants reserve their spot on the Field Connection trip by paying at least half of the trip ($1,750) cost up front by wire transfer or by check. Participation confirmation and final payment is due 1 month prior to departure. Trip cost will be finalized at least 6 months prior to the trip.
Checks can be made out to International Development Enterprises with a memo for Field Connection - 2026 and sent to iDE at 1031 33rd St. Denver, CO. International Security continues to be a significant consideration for international travel, both for the safety of our staff, traveling participants, and the communities we are visiting. This Field Connection is dependent upon the current regulations in Nepal and abroad.
