Len retired as President of Cargill Limited, the Canadian subsidiary, capping a career in business and agriculture that spanned four decades, largely from employment with Cargill Inc. Cargill is a global company focused on serving customers and communities in 70 countries, working to nourish the world in a safe, responsible, and sustainable way. Much of his career was leading business units that succeeded by ensuring Canadian farmers had the tools they needed to prosper and it is this passion that lead him to become involved in iDE. In particular, Len admires iDE’s work on creating income and livelihood opportunities in developing countries around the world that touches many smallholder farmers. Len was nominated Chair of iDE Canada in 2017.
Len has a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree from the University of Manitoba.
