Sophoan, presently a CSmart Project Director, has been with iDE Cambodia since October 2010, starting as a M&E and Gender Inclusion Officer for CADF2, and ultimately achieved the position of Project Manager for CADF2 (2012-2013) and CODES (2014-2019).  

Sophoan holds a MSc. in aquaculture from the Gent University, Belgium; and a BSc. in fisheries from the Royal University of Agriculture (RUA), Cambodia. He has extensive experience with various development projects related to agriculture, aquaculture, aquatic resource management, pig and horticulture value chains, M&E, and development-oriented researches. He also performed a number of short-term consulting related to training, value chain assessment, project design, and evaluation for several projects and NGOs.
