Change is difficult, both for organizations and people. Managing change and crisis is Karry’s life’s work, from starting with JSI in 1992 to spending six years working on projects in Afghanistan. For iDE, Karry leads operations for all of our African and Central American country offices. Growing up as a global nomad, Karry and her family moved to a new country every two to three years. She had the opportunity to see people living in many different ways, sometimes with few opportunities, leading to her passion for providing the tools that help people help themselves. For over 20 years, Karry has been identifying improvements to systems that free up field staff to focus on what they do best. She has a master’s degree in organizational development and applied behavioral science from Johns Hopkins, as well as an avid interest in photography and continuing to explore the world with her two children.
