Joyce King Thomas is best known as the writer behind Mastercard’s Priceless campaign which ran in 100 countries and was spoofed by everyone from Ralph Nader to Bart Simpson. During two decades at McCann she rose to Chief Creative Officer of the agency, helping to win not just Mastercard, but the U.S. Army, Weight Watchers, Staples, Verizon and Nikon. Her most recent role at McCann was Chief Creative Officer of McCann XBC, a unit devoted to Mastercard’s integrated global marketing.

Ad Age named Joyce one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Advertising. McCann made her the first inductee in the agency’s Hall of Fame. Her work has won multiple awards including Cannes Lions and One Show Pencils, and she has judged numerous awards shows, most recently serving as Grand Jury President for Asia’s Adfest. She was a board member of the Nurse Family Partnership, an organization that provides at-risk mothers and infants with life-changing nurse home visits.

Joyce, a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, currently works as an independent creative consultant. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, not too far from the two sons they raised.
