Hawi Serbessa has 12 years of solid experience in the development sector, in areas of women empowerment, gender equality, child protection, and social/downward accountability. For iDE’s Ethiopia office, she handles any gender related responsibilities, leading the gender integration and mainstreaming works for our Ethiopian programs. Hawi has a Bachelor Degree in Economics from Bahirdar University (Ethiopia) and is in the process of obtaining her Master’s degree from a program in public relations and strategic communication at Addis Ababa University.
