Caitlin joined iDE in July 2019 after previously working for Water For People for 10 years, most recently as Director of Principal Gifts and helping the team contribute to the organization’s annual budget of $25M. While Caitlin’s career started in marketing, working for a mid-sized advertising agency, she found that the nonprofit sector provided a pathway to developing a career of lasting impact and generational change. Having traveled to seven developing countries across four continents, Caitlin is grounded in a commitment to transforming the lives of those who are most vulnerable and marginalized. For more than a decade, Caitlin has worked with both internal and external stakeholders to shift the philanthropic sector to prioritize systems change investments over short-term project contributions as she believes this is the roadmap to ending some of the world’s greatest challenges.
Caitlin graduated magna cum laude from the University of Vanderbilt in Tennessee and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Communication Studies. When she’s not in the office, Caitlin is likely at home or in the mountains with her husband, two kids, and fur-baby Thelonious (her 8-year-old Huskey mix).
