With over 15 years of experience in development and the private sector, Ashta brings the skills and knowledge in the fields of project planning and management, market systems development, small and medium size enterprise development, sales and marketing, and business development. Since joining iDE in 2014, he has specialized in market systems and market-based approaches to development with a focus on agriculture including agricultural extension and mechanization, access to finance, climate resilience and WASH. Over the past three years, he has led the overall market development and private sector engagement component of the organization’s portfolio of agriculture, economic development, access to finance, climate resilience, and WASH projects. He has also managed two large portfolios in the Nepal office and is the focal person for new partnerships and business development initiatives. Ashta is passionate about co-creating and catalyzing innovative enterprise-driven solutions to accelerate and amplify impact.
