Bwalya joined iDE Zambia in November 2004 and rose to the position of Finance Director in 2009. In 2011, administration was added to her portfolio and she became Finance and Administration Director.

Bwalya is passionate about her work at iDE Zambia and strives to ensure both finance and administration functions of iDE Zambia are fulfilled adequately. Bwalya has achieved great strides in helping bring iDE Zambia finance and administration department to a well-functioning department, including driving the development of comprehensive finance, administration and personnel manuals. She is passionate about people welfare, is a real team player and is not afraid of meeting challenges that come with her role. 

Bwalya is an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant(CGMA). Bwalya is married and has two daughters.
