"I wonder if..." —Yi Wei
Yi is a social innovator passionately dedicated to making the world a better place by bringing together great ideas, stellar people, and aligning incentives to achieve maximum positive impact. Her vision of perfect is a day in which the term "social business" is redundant. She was instrumental in growing the Cambodian flagship sanitation program to a global portfolio of six countries that is the largest rural sanitation market development program delivering improved latrines in the sector to date. Now as iDE’s Global WASH Director, she is ready to guide it to even more impressive achievements. Yi has a B.A. in Social Studies from Harvard University and is a Civic Scholar at UChicago Booth’s MBA program. She was once an aspiring professional percussionist, having shared the stage with the likes of Yo-Yo Ma, Bela Fleck, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In her spare time, she likes to spend time in the mountains with her bernedoodle, Allan, and play board games with friends.
