Valerie is a commercially driven business leader with a history of nurturing growth strategies and delivering profitable results. She has over 10 years’ experience specializing in the delivery of business solutions and the creation of sales propositions for Vodafone PLC and Ernst & Young LLP in both Africa and Europe. She was previously the CEO of Clean Team Toilets, an innovative, affordable sanitation solution for low-income urban communities based in Kumasi, Ghana. Valerie is determined to empower households and improve living conditions in Africa by driving the democratization of toilets and the commercialization of waste across the continent. Her accomplishments to date at driving social change through business were most recently acknowledged when she was recognized as one of the “10 under-35 Changemakers in Ghana.” Valerie was further honored by President Obama when she was awarded the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders 2014.
