For more than ten years, Lindsey Madson has shown her passion for program design and management in international development. She began her career in the dense forests of southern Cameroon, where she she worked on several livelihood initiatives including HIV and nutrition programming and installing clean water spring boxes for villages. She spent seven years based in Washington, DC managing USAID-funded projects and training and mentoring field-based staff and community organizations in Haiti, as well as supporting several Asian and African countries. Lindsey joined iDE in 2015 and says her favorite aspect of the work is the close collaboration with both headquarters and country program staff to solve problems and design programs to context. She is fluent in French and has a Masters in Public Health from Tulane University. Lindsey is originally from Oregon, which is basically Colorado with an ocean, a feature she misses dearly.
