Jamie Wright has over 13 years of experience in business development and program management. She was drawn to iDE for the profound difference in the approach where you serve "clients" rather than "beneficiaries.” She thrives in the idea-rich and fast-paced environment at iDE because she loves turning good ideas into realities. She began her career as a Peace Corps volunteer in the NGO Capacity Building program. Before joining iDE, Jamie worked for four years in sustainable agriculture in South Africa, developed business trainings for women receiving microloans in Costa Rica, and conducted Participatory Market Analysis with a Farmer Field School in Tanzania. She also spent several years working for nonprofits and development firms in the US.
Jamie earned her Masters of Public Affairs from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs and received a B.A. in International Relations from Wheaton College. She joined iDE in 2013 as one of the earliest Business Development specialists, and now supports overall iDE business development activity as well as providing direct project support and operational backstopping to the Ethiopia, Vietnam, and Cambodia country programs.
