Brian joined iDE in June 2015 to direct iDE's work in Ghana, leveraging his successful track record of providing leadership and technical guidance to culturally diverse teams while facilitating public-private partnerships to resolve local challenges. One of the hallmarks of Brian’s leadership is mentoring team members while ensuring an effective structure is in place for committed teams to develop innovative market solutions. Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master’s Degree in Transatlantic Relations from the University of Bath, and a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics and Community Development from Illinois State University. As a returned Peace Corps volunteer from Kyrgyzstan, he believes in the concept of “small is beautiful” and enjoys linking details to larger themes and long-lasting impacts.
