Prior to joining iDE, Binod had 11 years of private sector corporate experience, with a strong role in developing distribution networks, supply chains, and demand creation in pharmaceutical marketing. Key responsibilities as a National Sales Manager included leading teams of marketing personnel and designing and developing marketing strategies for the promotion of medical products. He has been at iDE Nepal for more than 19 years with experiences in value chain and market development approach and solid management and training capabilities. He was involved in designing the Pilot Phase program of Sanitation Marketing in Nepal and as Team Leader led the Sanitation Marketing Program starting with the November 2011 Pilot Phase through the current second scale-up phase (SMSU) that runs through October 2016. In addition to the SMSU program, he also leads the USAID-supported program ENBAITA as the Deputy Chief of Party, overseeing iDEs’ component of cross projects and leading iDE efforts to develop dynamic supply chains to promote micro irrigation technologies and sanitation products for smallholders.
